What each part does on the E63

The downpipe is the first section of exhaust after the turbo. Every exhaust gas leaving the engine goes through it, so it is a key part of the system. A twin-turbo engine has two turbos, so it has two downpipes. The W213 listing is for the M177 from 2017 on. The W212 listing is for 2012 to 2016 cars.

These are the only E63 parts in the store today. There is no midpipe or exhaust listed for either chassis, so downpipes are the choice here.

Gas leaves the engine, spins the turbos, then flows through the downpipes, the midpipe and the exhaust to the tips. Each section is a separate part, which is why you can buy them in steps. Every part is made to order, so it is built after you place your order.

With only one type of part, the choice is about the chassis. The two generations are separate products with different prices, and they are not interchangeable.
